The newest of Universal Studios’ roller coasters began construction in 2008. The accelerated schedule and on-site logistics created challenges during each phase. Many of the existing utilities underground had to be relocated due to the support structure needed for the new ride. Our team analyzed these areas to make sure the relocation of the utilities would not affect the park in any way. Modern Plumbing Industries and the construction team finished the project on time and within budget.
Highlights:
- Installed a 3” compressed air loop that controls the brake system for the ride
- Relocated 6” gas main
- Relocated a 6” potable water ductile main
- Relocated a 4” irrigation main
