The Modern Way
In total 10 different plumbing systems were installed utilizing 10,000 man hours and zero accidents.
In total, Modern Plumbing installed 10 different plumbing and gas systems that took nearly 1000 hours of coordination and 3D BIM modeling and 20,000 man hours for installation.
The University has been going green for some time. The Tower 2 dormitory houses 500+ students and consumes massive amounts of water daily. Modern Plumbing Industries (MPI), in coordination with the school, installed a solar water heating system to help satisfy demand and reduce expenses associated with water heating.
This design-assist project required a keen relationship with the general contractor and owner/developer in order to bring the projects in under budget. A complete team effort with all trades allowed the construction crew to meet a fast paced schedule that was driven by an even greater demand for on-campus housing.
The 198,000 sq. ft. research facility was the first to begin construction at the new Lake Nona Campus. In addition to the goal of attaining LEED Silver, the building houses state-of-the-art laboratories and a vivarium with an extremely controlled environment.
This retail center, that features some of the best shopping and eating Orlando has to offer, is located at a large tourist area on International Drive.
Modern Plumbing Industries (MPI) worked closely with the general contractor and the owner on this design-assist project.
The facility is a 100,000+ sq. ft. airplane hangar used by JetBlue to retrofit planes, up to three at a time, with seat mounted televisions.
The newest of Universal Studios’ roller coasters began construction in 2008. The accelerated schedule and on-site logistics created challenges during each phase. Many of the existing utilities underground had to be relocated due to the support structure needed for the new ride.
Expanding this surgical center was both challenging and rewarding for the project team. The challenges of building a project of this type included: very limited on site storage for materials, a fast track schedule that would not disrupt the everyday operations of the hospital and a requirement for double shifts.
The Embry Riddle University Solar Panel Installation Project was performed in conjunction with the replacement of the high roof on the John Paul Riddle Student Center in Daytona Beach Florida.
The award-winning hotel underwent a complete renovation to all of 820 guestrooms and suites. All of the rooms were smartly-designed with high-end plumbing fixtures and trim.
