Project Details – JetBlue

JetBlue & Live TV Hangar Facility

Jet Blue Project

The facility is a 100,000+ sq. ft. airplane hangar used by JetBlue to retrofit planes, up to three at a time, with seat mounted televisions. This design-build project was challenging due to the large column pads needed to support the building’s structure. As a result, MPI re-designed the underground to make it all work. In addition to design challenges, 2004 was the year that hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne made landfall in Florida turning the jobsite into a lake and leaving destruction in their paths. The successful completion of the project was a great accomplishment for the team!
