Now, the technology is so effective that tankless units have become the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">primary residential water-heating system in Europe and are growing in popularity in the U.S.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We field many questions about tankless water heaters on the job. We\u2019d like to address a specific one here. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many homeowners ask us, &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are tankless water heaters dangerous<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing Gas &amp; Carbon Monoxide<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because most tankless systems run on natural gas, they share the same concerns as any gas-powered system: the risk of carbon monoxide leakage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, in this <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">way, a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tankless system isn\u2019t different from a storage tank water heater that runs on gas.
