These awards were won based on MPI’s extensive work on the Florida Hospital Sanford Burnham Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes in Orlando, FL and the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Florida in Port St. Lucie, FL. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation will be having numerous events throughout Central Florida. The Pink Out Winter Park event was held on September 9th and businesses throughout the area continue to raise awareness, “Participating Park Avenue and Hannibal Square retailers will offer Pink Out apparel, merchandise, food, and beverages with proceeds from sales benefiting the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Mammography Scholarship Fund” . Trek Women and David’s World Cycle will also be sponsoring the Breast Cancer Awareness Ride on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Drain vents are an essential part of all plumbing systems. They equalize the air pressure in a drain line, allowing air to flow through the pipe as well as water. Next weekend, on Saturday, August 25th Modern Plumbing Industries, Inc. will be playing in the March of Dimes 20th Annual Mudd Volleyball Challenge charity event. Our team, the Modern Mudd Makers will playing and raising money to support the March of Dimes’ fight against infant mortality, premature birth and birth defects. In 2011 over 166 corporate teams participated in the event and raised over $165,000.
